I’ve Taken Care of My Debt-Now How Do I Fix My Credit?
Taking care of your debt helps you clean up your bad history and fix your past mistakes, but it doesn’t get you a great rating all on it’s own. There are two parts to getting a great credit score. There is repairing your past mistakes, and then there is rebuilding your history. Your rating is calculated based on the information in your credit report. You have done your best to clean up the bad, but you need to build up a history of good things to be in a good place. You can do this by paying all of your bills on time, getting a secured credit card and using it reponsibly, and making sure to build up positive payment history over time.
